News for January 2024!

What happened in January 2024 at Phyto-info… we tell you everything!

Hello everyone 🌿

Since the garden is no longer mowed flush with common daisies, we can observe new plants that come to settle by themselves. Of course, it can be a bit confusing to see all this vegetation growing in all directions and sometimes looking like nothing. But they are never weeds, they have all their uses.

Let’s go back to our asylum seekers… common vervain is one of them. It has recently settled right in the middle of the passage. She doesn’t look like much with her tiny flowers. However, it has an extremely rich past. Formerly venerated, it was called the sacred herb. In the time of the Gauls, priests washed their altars with an infusion of verbena. And among the Romans, a senior state official was responsible for wearing sacred verbena during religious and ceremonial rituals.

Update 👏

We update our plant sheets regularly, due to the fact that we have new books 📚. This month it’s the turn of our stinging nettle, another wonder of nature that doesn’t look like much.

Re-discover its benefits and precautions for use on our platform.

Board of Directors 👏

We held a board of directors on January 18, 2024 to mainly finalize our actions for this year. In summary, we will organize discovery outings and practical workshops, at the rate of two per month for five months. The precise content of the workshops and the dates will be detailed soon on our website. During this board of directors, we also discussed the translation of our search tool into English, our registration on Google Maps to facilitate directions, a request for funding for the production of educational brochures and the delay of the re-publication of old books. To read the full minutes, more info on our blog.
