News for February 2024!
What happened in February 2024 at Phyto-info… we tell you everything!
Hello everyone 🌿
A mysterious aura has always emanated from sage. Often used to purify places of any negativity, this plant once cured everything or almost everything. The school of Salerno dedicated to him this famous phrase: Why man dies while sage grows in his garden. Good question, you might say. First of all, we should make sure that we are talking about the right species, there are more than 900 of them. In the Flore de France (a book that lists the varieties of plants growing in France), the authors list 30 different varieties, enough to make our heads 🥺 spin.
The most widely used and documented varieties are certainly garden sage and clary sage. Not all sage is medicinal, divinatory sage will make you travel to imaginary worlds with great risks 😱. Be aware, however, that a decree has classified the latter and its problematic component, namely salvinorin A, on the list of poisonous substances, so be careful.
Not all medicinal strains are safe either. Garden sage, for example, contains thujone, a compound that is toxic over the long term and in high doses, which does not prevent it from enjoying an almost immaculate reputation thanks to Marie. In fact, the latter, chased with the child by Herod’s executioners, implored the rose and then the wallflower to hide them; these two plants refused. The sage, on the other hand, hid Mary and her child under its fragrant leaves. Since that time, the roses have been stinging, the wallflowers have stinked and the sage, for its part, dispenses its benefits to all men, or rather we should say to all women 🤗.

Quality assurance 👏
We have asked a third party to carry out quality assurance on our entire website and search tool, the objective being to identify small defects, which we do not see because we have our noses on them. The diagnosis has fallen, fortunately nothing dramatic, but a few odds and ends to be modified, which should make navigation easier. We roll up our sleeves and stick to them. We will keep you informed.
